sunhee's trying to have a relatively normal meal. really, she is. plus, it's been a while since she's been able to hang out with maya like this – the both of them seated next to each other and enjoying each other's company while they talk about their day. or well, in sunhee's case, gossip. she thinks it's a pretty good way to help maya with her korean too; through authentic conversations like these!
still, as much as she'd like to tell maya about the girl that was apparently caught sleeping her boyfriend's brother, her attention is shifted to a pair of boys seated diagonally across them.
it isn't as though the boys were being subtle though, with the way they were looking at her friend. maya is pretty. no – pretty is an understatement. maya is drop dead gorgeous. like seriously pretty, in a way that's almost unbelievable. so she isn't surprised to catch a bunch of boys practically gawking at her.
she leans over the table and taps maya's shoulder. "unnie," she says, attempting to be subtle. "those guys have been staring at you for a long time. one of them is really cute, honestly."
