Polyship week 2022 lets goooooooo

Prompt for today was: COMPERSION. I chose to do dressing one partner up for a date with another. Malvie and implied Jayvie, the context was SUPPOSED to be within rotten ot4 + Ben but I didn't get quite as far as I wanted to for that within this fic. Oh well, I've still got the rest of the week to go!

“Wear the dangly diamond earrings,” Mal suggests, from where she’s draped over the bed upside down with her spellbook clenched between her knees. “They make you look elegant.”

Evie glances at her in the mirror. Mal is wearing a hoodie that’s more paint stain than fabric, and sweatpants that are completely covering her feet. They’ve got a tiny crown embroidered on the pocket. Her singular sock, peeking out of one fold of her pants, is hot pink. “This isn’t some event where I need to look deadly and distracting, you know,” Evie says, brushing a curl back from her face with her pinky finger. Her eyeliner needs to be perfect. It’s the first time she’s been out and about like this in ages, and if it’s smudged, she’ll just die. “It’s just a minor social function for say, half of the high council and their families. I’m just supposed to show up and be a pretty-princess representative for the isle.”

“You’re always pretty,” Mal shoots back, staring back at her through the mirror. “And you’re going to look nice no matter what you do, and I like it when you come back with interesting bruises.”

“And what does that have to do with my earrings, babe?”

Mal grins. “They make you look like a movie star, and someone likes to mess you up when you look so perfect.”

“That person being you?” Evie says, lifting a single eyebrow. “I need to look put-together tonight, sorry babe. I’m young and carefree and beautiful, all thanks to the good work of the Isle Affairs office. I don’t think hickeys all down my neck are exactly what they’re hoping to see from me”

“I think that if you tell Jay he can’t mark you up, with you looking like this, he’s going to have a great time trying to hide them,” Mal says, still grinning like a goblin. “And I like finding them all later.”

“You and your possessive fucking bruises,” Evie breathes, shaking her head slightly as she leans forward over her makeup table to slide the long, dangly diamond earrings into place. “Everyone already knows that I belong to you, babe.”

“They could know more.” Mal insists. “Wear the darker lipstick, it’ll look better when it’s coming off later.”

Evie arches a perfect brow at her. “What makes you think it’s going to be coming off tonight?”

Mal grins. “I’m pretty sure you have a date, and he’s going to be pretty upset if you cover him in that blood-red stuff you like to use when you’re being possessive, princess.”

Evie plucks the lipstick in question from her makeup stand with nails that are shimmering black, softly rounded and scattered with sparkles that shine like the night sky of Auradon. The isle doesn’t have visible stars, thanks to the barrier. The first night they were here in Auradon, they’d stopped, on the way to the museum, just to stare at them all. “I think someone is doing a little bit of projecting, killer,” she shoots back. “Besides, you already said you didn’t want to go out with me tonight.”

“Mmm, maybe I’m learning how to share,” Mal says, stretching out like a cat until Evie can hear her spine pop. “I have a date of my own, you know.”

Evie hums. “What you have is a mountain of homework,” she says, gesturing at the books spread across Mal’s bed. “Hot date with the library?”

“Oh yeah, seduce me with knowledge,” Mal says, with a laugh in her voice that she’s just barely holding back. “And let me worry about getting you ready to go out, princess. My books will keep.”

Evie’s already all dressed up to go out, but it’s fun to have Mal in her space, so she drops her chin and opens her mouth a little wider as she’s running the dark tip of her lipstick over the red bow of her mouth. “Oh, I’m ready for you,” Evie says, holding eye contact with her ridiculous, perfect girlfriend. “Get up off that bed babe, and come over here. I’m just so hot in this dress….and if you really want to help me get ready, you could find my shoes.”

“I had something else in mind,” Mal growls back, rolling up and off of the bed. “You really wouldn’t want to mess up your lipstick at the party now, would you?”

“Mm, you want to be the one I mark up?” Evie asks, tilting her head up to meet Mal’s lips, which are suddenly an inch above her own. “Let me cover you in my makeup, make it so everyone who sees you knows just what we’ve been doing together?”

Mal whines. “Eves–”

“Kiss me,” Evie whispers, tilting her head up just-so, angling her shoulders so that they’re both clearly visible from the door, highlighted in the bright light she’d been using to apply the lipstick, a perfect contrast between elegant, glamorous princess and soft, cozy dragon.

Mal swoops down and kisses her, firm and deep and hot.

Evie pulls back for air, nibbling at Mal’s lip as she does it. “You wanna give the boys a show?” she breathes, winding a hand into Mal’s hair, working around the messy pigtails that Mal’s had in for going on three days now.

“Mm,” Mal groans, working her own fingers into the silky hair at the base of Evie’s neck, underneath the smooth curls that Evie’s got cascading down her back tonight. Her dress for the event is black velvet, with a low back and shimmering blue lining that shows whenever she spins. It had taken both of them to lace her into it earlier, Mal’s hands leaving hot tracks on her body that Evie can still feel lingering. There’s a secret bruise on the space between her thigh and her ass, and it’s going to be a delight for Jay to find later, when they’re done with being the clever, beautiful young people who were so graciously saved from the Isle of the Lost by the good people of Auradon.

It’s not always fun to be paraded around like a captive animal whenever the high council wants to feel like they’re doing good work for the slums, but with a beautiful girlfriend to get her ready, and a beautiful boyfriend to spend the night dancing with, it’s not as bad as it could be.

There’s footsteps outside. It’s 7pm on the dot, and Evie’s tongue is so deep inside Mal’s mouth that she can practically taste a hint of smoke on her tonsils. The boys should have a great time picking them up tonight.

A knock on the door.

ON ANOTHER NOTE

it kind of works out well that I, myself, have no idea how to deal with the in character social situations cause while Nico’s much more used to the environment than I am, he also is not a charismatic guy.

Him being nerdy and investigating shit comes much more naturally to me. Which Is Good. He has an 18 intelligence, and in one level it’ll b 19 with the keen mind feat I’m gonna take, which also works well cause he already has a very good memory and if I write it down nico Will remember it. My notes r his memory. Basically. And he’s gonna get a fuckin photographic memory basically and that will be so fun and useful
