maybe you found me that time
the presence i haven't knew yet
under the skies, with the most beautiful scattered stars
at your last rest.
the presence that overwhelmed me
guts i wished never poured
at your beloved summit,
i lost breath, but maybe that was you embracing me
too tight and i was too weak
the plan was never to stay the night
because– oh, boy– did i get scold months and months later
yet i slept soundly, despite several disruptions later i was told
and by morning, you let me go
with certain logic, i should be in worse condition, but i was not
with spring in my steps i walk toward daylight terrors waiting for me
i knew you weren't there anymore
it might be eight years late, but
thank you for your welcome
i wish i would've stayed longer.
