OC Intro #2: Brewer (totally his real name)! You can find art of him and his story at #maybebrewer, and there's a little more info below.

Brewer is my exploration into a character who isn't in the best circumstances but keeps optimistic through it all. He's probably my most underdeveloped OC but I'm hoping I'll get to use him in a TTRPG at some point. All I know is that he fights with a hatchet and a musket, and he named his goat after his lover that he can't reach right now due to whatever revolution/war is going on at the time.

Brewer and the party got stuck in a burning building, and it brought back some unpleasant feelings both remembered and forgotten. God, I love when a stoic unflappable character breaks for just long enough to see that that have been affected by their past.

OC Intro #1: Kalister! You can find art of her and her ensuing reincarnation at #maybefauns, and there's a little more info below.

The dnd campaign that I play Aster in is set in Ancient Greece, and Kalister came from a faun tribe that roamed around the area that would eventually become Germany and Central Europe. Fauns (in this lore) can create magically shrouded Groves to protect themselves if they're in danger, but when Kalister's tribe was threatened, the enshrouding failed and she was left alone. They eventually married the brother of the hunter that killed their family, but had to leave their child at the divine faun city of Altar to protect her when their husband was killed too.

Kalister is, to put it simply, an asshole. She hates most other people and even when she likes someone she would never tell them that. Every time they're moved to help other people, it's motivated only by what they get in return; and all they truly care about is taking down the hunter that killed her tribe.

When she had her final showdown with him, her blood poisoning worked. She died, and she went up in flames. Her last thoughts were of her success on taking him down with her, but little does she know he survived the attack and very may well return to haunt her next life.
