In Spain we have a saying that goes “hasta el cuarenta de mayo no te quites el sayo” which translates to “do not take your ~robe~ off until the 40th of may (so til june the 9th aprox). It basically means to never trust good weather in may (and the beginning of june), as cold will linger and come back... only then you might start dressing in your summer clothes
oh I love this so much, thank you for including it in Spanish, too - and not just the English translation. I even understood most of it, apart from sayo!
