In my head, whenever I think about how a poly Yoosung x MC x Seven got together I always think about it like this:
So Yoosung and MC are already in an established relationship. They’ve been dating for maybe about 6 months and are completely in love. Seven is both their best friend so it’s not surprising if you see him with Yoosung, MC, or both at the same time. (There’s even a running joke between Yoosung and MC that they have to flip a coin to figure out if Seven is gonna be the Best Man or Maid of Honor at their wedding).
It isn’t until one day Yoosung, MC and Seven are walking down the street and Seven gets hit on by some stranger. Yoosung is automatically jealous and bitterly leads Seven away. Like this boy about to square up. Yoosung is confused, he’s only ever felt that with MC, that protectiveness, that possessiveness, but he couldn’t help it. Yoosung then starts noticing things about Seven. How nice his laugh sounds with his, the freckles on his nose, how warm his honey eyes look in the sun light, how comfortable his hugs feel.
Yoosung starts to panic. Is he bisexual? Is it possible to love two people at once? His feelings for MC is still strong...What is he gonna tell MC?? Yoosung couldn’t hide this from her.
So one night, after dinner, Yoosung tells MC that he needs to tell her something. MC replies by saying she needs to tell him something too but he can go first if he wants. Yoosung then tells her everything. About the day Seven got hit on. And that he felt jealous. “And I love you so much MC. I always will. And I don’t want to hurt you and I, I understand if you want to break up after this but I think...I think I have a real crush on Seven?” There’s a moment of breathing...then MC starts giggling. “Yoosung, my sunshine, why are we both such dorks? I love you too. So so much....But I understand. Seven is amazing. I think, I think I have a crush on him too...that’s what I needed to tell you!”
They both break down laughing and hold each other. They spend the rest of the night gushing about how cute Seven is and how they should ask him out.
Seven is shook. MC and Yoosung are standing in front of him, holding his hands, confessing their feelings, and asking him on a date. The two people he already accepted he couldn’t have are asking him to be theirs...he must be dreaming! Seven hesitantly accepts. It sounds like a great idea but in his head he believed that he didn’t deserve to be loved and now he has two loves. Yoosung and MC are the most loving partners though and strive to crush that belief every time.
