my take on the BFUniverse dynamics
So basically, all of the characters have rooms in Ricky's manor. It has become a sort of safe house, with people coming and going freely. Grudges may be held outside of the house, but the house is a truce zone, and fighting is strictly prohibited.
Ricky took the house from The Mayor several years ago, and let it fill with people. he is a renowned hitman and occasional vigilante. The number of residents wasn’t planned, but Ricky does secretly enjoy the company, so he lets them stay. He is very protective of people he considers his allies (he doesn’t usually use the word friend), but he tries very hard to keep up the tough hitman persona around them. He has the master bedroom.
The Mayor was initially upset about having his house taken, but over time came to realize that his life is now much better than it was before. The mayor had previously gotten on the bad side of one of the major mobs but is now under protection. Ricky doesn't want to have to take care of the town, so the Mayor is still allowed to be the mayor. He is now fiercely loyal to the people in the house, acting as almost a father figure to everyone, and the main enforcer of the “no fighting” rule. He has the second bedroom.
Night Night is Ricky's brother and rules the local mob along with Legs. He and Legs have the two remaining rooms in the manor. Both of them are lawyers, and use this to keep the members of there mob out of jail. Despite being lawyers, neither of them have any common sense. This often leads to issues with the other residents.
Tinsley is a private detective who used to be chasing Ricky but ended up choosing to befriend him instead. He is a hot mess, generally surviving off of coffee and anger. Tinsley stays in the office, where the Mayor has set up a bed for him. The others in the house help him with his cases, and he usually turns a blind eye to their crimes. He and Ricky are allegedly dating, but no one has actually asked, mostly out of fear of Ricky.
Banjo is Tinsley’s cousin and is a relatively unsuccessful art thief. He has worked with Leg’s and Night Night’s mob before. He knows a lot, but only about very specific and random topics. This makes him either extremely useful or incredibly inept, depending on the situation. He usually sleeps on the pull-out couch in the main room, and so also often serves as the guard dog, being the closest to the door. He has a very badly hidden crush on Francesca.
Francesca is a spy who showed up one day and has since stayed at the house for random intervals. The running theory is that she enters through the windows, although no one has been able to confirm this. Not much is known about her, other than the fact that she is a smooth-talking and hot-headed woman who may or may not report to an unidentified organization. The Mayor set up a bed for her in the parlor after he caught her sleeping on top of the fridge, but she rarely uses it, choosing to sleep in unsettling and often very high up places. She is fully aware of Banjo’s crush, and thinks he is cute, but thinks of herself out of his league.
Horsely is a crime writer who was working with Tinsley. She found out about the house and it’s cast of strange residents and was eventually given an offer to stay. She sleeps in the library but stays over less often to the others. She collaborates with Tinsley often, writing about his cases. The others help her out occasionally, but she is generally less connected to the others then everyone else.
What do you think? I tried to make a very fluffy and open-ended interpretation. I hopefully will get a chance to write in this universe at some point. if you write something inspired by this, please credit me!
