The sad part about downloading Animal Crossing: New Leaf at the midnight launch is... there is literally nothing to do after you get settled in, and shake the trees for what they're worth.
I (Mayor John) arrived in Basilton, and set up a cliff-side tent (until my house is built). I shook every tree I could, netting myself 1,000 bells, a mahjongg table, and four beehives. I got stung three out of four times. -__-
I got a picture taken for my town ID (with bee-stung face) and talked to those town folk that are still awake.
I got a so-so set of town folk, I guess: Harry the Hippopotamus, Aurora the Penguin, Blanche the Ostrich, Tangy the cat-tangerine hybrid and Poncho the Bear.
Also, I checked in at the post office, and got a downloadable item. A Rainbow Screen, which is just a rainbow with a cloud on either end. o__O Don't forget to check that out.
Listening to Neon by John Mayer
makes me feel as if I'm in a romantic comedy set in Los Vegas and I just fell in love with the female lead in a night club..as long as it isn't a Vince Vaughn or Owen Wilson movie then its perfectly normal, but thats just me
