i’ve got a lotttttt. i went to a kinks concert at some point when i was in my teens or twenties, that’s a treasured memory. i was a big fan of 60s-70s music as i grew up. i remember me and ben used to sing along to “sweet jane” by the velvet underground whenever we heard it. ben’s favorite song was “daydream believer” by the monkees; i got that song title tattooed on my ribs after he died.

i passed at least a little of that (amazing) taste down to peter, haha. he was always a punk rocker. we’d sing together in the kitchen when he’d help me with dinner. lou reed, queen, the ramones. that kinda stuff. i miss that kid.

i had a girlfriend, in one of my many timelines, a few years after ben passed away and i had done the bulk of my grieving. her name was hazel. she was a cool girl, a punk with a band. natural hair, big brown eyes. she was sweet as could be. i loved her.

i lied to her. didn’t tell her about peter’s powers or my connections to the avengers. it was out of a desire to protect peter and all his friends, who had become my friends too by that point… but hazel knew i was hiding something from her and she resented it. she broke up with me during a show her band was playing at a local club. i never got to tell her the truth.

hazel, if you’re out there, i’m sorry, and i hope you can understand why i did what i did. i hope the rest of your life was beautiful, and you found another girl who could be honest with you.

ehh, screw it.

i dunno if i’m gonna see no way home. i’ve just kind of fallen off the mcu wagon lately and i know no matter what happens i’ll leave disappointed, saddened. but that doesn’t change how much love and adoration i have for everyone i know and love who are from the mcu, or my care for the fickin community in general.

i love you all dearly. so freaking much. i’ve been using this signature here for about 4 years, how cool and weird is that? this blog and the people on it have changed over the years but i’m always gonna have a special place in my heart for you all.

special love goes out to peter, ned, mj, ben, and pepper. you are and were the most important and special people to me. i’m so glad i got to share a lifetime with you all and i hope you’re doing good wherever you are.
