03-03-19 Perfect Sunday afternoon hacking for bump and I today. Maytime was totally wired and was really striding out and loving life!

We went schooling today at our local arena. Had some good walk and canter work, lovely and balanced and some decent upwards transitions. Did a small amount of lateral work and ended on practicing four loop serpentines which she found quite hard. I love that this horse always gives things a go!
I also tried her in a happy mouth straight bar loose ring snaffle thinking it might help with the fact that she is quite mouthy, but she didn’t get along with it at all. That will be safely stowed away in the tack room!

We went schooling at a new place she had never been today. We did an hour: lots of transitions, leg yield, quarters in lengthening and shortening the stride and she was soooo good considering I haven’t schooled her in a month and she has never been to this place before. I have another session planned Friday. She is now on week two of being barefoot, she seems to be doing really well!
Finally it has arrived! Looking forward to trying this out and seeing if it does what it says on the tin!
