July 29th was Chester's 10th Got'cha day! I can't believe he's been my baby for 10 years! I got him at age 4 just a couple months off the track. He's still a mama's boy to this day. I love him so!

Been spending time at the ranch again. I love the ponies and they love me! Especially Curtis here; we have a little game of poking and pestering each other.

One of the perks of working with OTTBS is that they often have a cool backstory and a fine pedigree. Curtis here raced under the name "Extra Fifty" (apparently the rapper 50 Cent owned him? I never learned the deets) and after a mediocre career on the track he found a home and a second job here.

HELP ME FIND MY OLD HORSE:

Casually looking to reconnect with this mare. Would be around 12 now. I sold her while I was in undergrad as I couldn’t keep her in a consistent enough program to keep us moving in the right direction, and I’ve traced her through a few sales and know that she was sold at a sale barn in west Alabama in the spring of 2018 (the sale barn cannot release info to me for good reasons). Her papers were lost but she is a tattooed OTTB around 16.2/16.3 hh and an incredibly hard keeper. When I had her we called her Nona but I know her name changed 2x before going to the sale barn. If anyone has information on her I’d appreciate it! Just trying to get closure and figure out what happened to her.
