Philippa Northeast went from unbothered girlfriend actress to the most shambolic girlfriend actress. She did a lot to get our attention in 2025.

In April, she decided to repost her old birthday pictures while Sam was in New York promoting Interview With the Vampire/The Vampire Lestat.🤷🏽‍♀️

In August, she did the Herald interview. Typical PR fluff about her "new" career but she really wanted us to know she has a "partner" who owns two houses, while insising she wanted to keep their relationship private. She didn't name this "partner", but she left enough crumbs for us to figure him out because she even named her partner's dog to make sure there was no mistake 🤷🏽‍♀️

Pip started posting weird clips on IG of her trying on wedding rings from her show, and announced her arrival to and departure from Toronto. In between, there were more Toronto pictures. There were London pictures. Birthday greetings from others. There was the ridiculous shadows in Paris, her awards campaign, and finally Iceland.

Wait a minute. I thought she wanted to keep their relationship private (refer to Herald)? I thought he was private? Iceland destroyed that illusion, especially when it went viral. They looked like two models for Explore Ski Magazine. Pip finally got acknowledged but she also got her partner tugged and yanked all over social media. 😬

I think the fandoms mostly want to move on. There are still some who are scratching their heads. I think others are probably embarrassed for Sam, some are still giggling, some are sad, and others are detached. It was so shambolic, I think people just want to forget it happened. I think the vampire base doesn't want to bring that energy into 2026.

People are ready for Lestat and Louis.

Maybe her project later in the year?

I heard MBC comes out in 2027.

I’m reticent to say this. But the reason most people aren’t talking much about Iceland according to what I am hearing is that some people are experiencing secondhand embarrassment (for various reasons).

I can definitely see merits to this anon's logic. Firstly, I want to say that my bias is that I very much want this photo to be old, and given certain track records it's entirely plausible that the truth may have been bent here.

But my opinion is that the photo in all likelihood does, in fact, probably date from this year.

Whilst we know Sam wore the same shirt to the TNR S3 premier in early 2025, we have very few images of him at private events and so don't know the frequency with which he rewears clothing. Given that he seems to care about the environment, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he would wear the same thing a year later.

Secondly, to me, personally, his arms and face appear to have more muscle than they did this time last year. He's also clean shaven, as he appeared in the V-day photos, but obviously that doesn't mean anything because anyone can shave at any time. Unfortunately with the poor quality of this photo, I can't see his ears clearly enough.

We know from a post on Alyssa McLelland's IG that Marina arrived in Sydney on 7 January. We don't know if she travelled anywhere else but she only mentioned Sydney in her leaving post. The Occam's Razor explanation is that Marina took the photo herself at some point between January 7 and when she left. Perhaps one of our industry experts could fill us in, but my assumption is that a colorist would get involved during post production, rather than pre production last year.

We're pretty sure, based on what is being said on other blogs and by Rolin, that Sam was stateside both at some point in January, possibly even late December, and then again from early February before the AACTAs. So that leaves a window in late January/very early February when he could have been home. We also know that a certain someone else was in Melbourne for much of December and January. Having said that, that person may or may not still have access to a very rapid mode of transportation, so who knows.

For the photo to have been taken last year, either Marina was involved in early production or someone GAVE her the photo. I can imagine a scenario in which Marina says she wants to post a photo but doesn't have one, and *someone* "innocently" offers her this one, say, at a certain Netflix event they probably all attended together.

However, on the balance of probabilities I think the photo is recent. That doesn't say anything about anyone's relationship status, because based on the context I believe it was a business luncheon, perhaps celebrating or thanking their German colleague for her work.

If we get more evidence I will happily change my mind.

But wouldn’t June 2025 be cold in Oz? I tried zooming in on the pic to look at the earrings, but it’s hard to see.

That’s what I mean! There’s a meter and a whole kid between them. That picture doesn’t say anything definitive about their relationship to one another other than they speak to each other.

PN looks great in her Next on Netflix promo pics for MBC. Good for her…if her relationship with SR goes south, or if it has ended, not sure what I believe, either way, she’s certainly taking steps in the right direction. Do u think she has extensions or is that her real hair? The color is cute too.

Nobody’s hair grows that long overnight. It’s critical for her to focus on her career RN.
