Hey so I have a question! If our MC decides not to tell the group about their backstory, will there be a way to tell them at a later time? Will we get other opportunities to tell them about our reason for leaving our hometown if we choose to delay it in the first few chapters of TSSW 3?

Nope, this is where the MC fesses up. I don't think you can avoid even.

If Tristen or Jorgen lived would Manerkol be protective of them since they're so important to MC?

Absolutely. They'd be under his personal protection, so anyone daring to lift a hand against them is lifting a hand against the High King.

Jorgen would try to avoid him as much as possible, but Manerkol can be very charming when he wants. He'd start "accidentally" bumping into him and giving him little tips of where the prettiest geological formations are in the capital or the most beautiful gardens.

After a bit of this, he'd offer to give Jorgen books from his own personal library about the subjects Jorgen loves. And Jorgen would love to jump onto that opportunity, but...

He can't read all that well. Being so sickly, he missed school a lot, so his reading and writing skills are minimal.

Hearing this would give Manerkol a millisecond's pause before he offered to teach Jorgen personally. The MC would encourage Jorgen to accept.

Manny is amazingly patient, and he never raises his voice. He makes for a top notch teacher. And when Jorgen gets tired trying to read through books on his own, Manerkol reads to him.

In the end, Jorgen begins to see Manerkol as a parent figure and becomes intensely protective of him, much to Manerkol's utter amusement.

Tristen, on the other hand, would try and see Manerkol as often as she could get away with 😂

Not because she has designs on him, but because he is Manerkol.

That said, her crush on him would grow A LOT in the beginning.

That causes her to be suuuuuuper embrassed around him, which makes the MC snicker every time.

Manerkol would of course notice as well, and he'd be extra polite and gentle with her to make her feel comfortable.

After a while, he might even start teasing her about her crush and kind of dual tease the MC and Tristen both 😂

It's all very platonic and familial. But also, Tristen is protective of the MC, so if she ever thought her best friend needed her interference on their behalf, she wouldn't hesitate to give Manny a piece of her mind. Even though her hands and knees shake the first time she does it.

Manerkol appreciates that like no one's business. His respect for Tristen shoots even further up, and he becomes fond of her for more than just being the MC's best friend/sibling.

They become actual friends in the end, both with unflinching loyalty to the MC. And each other.

I haven't actually got a question more than a statement. Just wanted to write this to congratulate on your writing with the Trident Teeth origin, I had a sibling who committed suicide and the small moments about the mixture of guilt and sadness the MC feels really drove it home for me.

I'm not an emotional dude usually but it's like you wrote my personal feeling down on paper about mine and it really shows your amazing writing skills and I'm personally looking forward to your next book.

Thank you. That part of the first book still is one of my favorite things I've written. Favorite is not even the right word, but...it's more like I would not change a thing about it.

That's a rare feeling to have while writing, lemme tell you.

I'm so very sorry for your sibling, you, and everyone else who loved them.

Suicidal tendencies run in my family as well, and we've had many close calls through the years.

Hi this is a question about tssw, is the mc brother Jorgen an actual suicide? And not a lowkey murder?

It was suicide, but let's just say that there were forces working to bring it about.

Just curious (and also my boy Jorgen doesn't get enough love) but I was curious as to his thoughts on the ros? Since Tristan gave her thoughts?

Also a separate question but, what was Jorgen like?

Jorgen was very nerdy and passionate. He had a rock collection and insects captivated him.

Being sickly as he was he couldn't spend as much time outside as he would have liked, but he would have been a terror if he could have 😂 Full of passion and energy.

As for his thoughts:

He would have been super impressed by Morkai's stature and physique and strength. Would look at him as kind of a role model, much to everyone's horror 😂

He would have loved how kind and gentle Straasa is. Would look to him for all sorts of fatherly advice and would not want to disappoint him in any way.

Daelynn would have been his partner in crime, using her magic to do pranks with him and get in all sorts of trouble.

He uh...would be very embarassed around Eledwen 😳 She is just so pretty and kind and soft-spoken. Also, her scales are so shiny and fascinating...

As for Manerkol LMAO! He'd just be speechless, I think. Like staring at him with mouth hanging open and eyes bugged out. Would probably try to avoid him as much as possible in the beginning.
