14. is your oc a good listener? She is! Opal spent much of her early adult life a bit on the gruff and stoic side, and she’s still fairly quiet, which makes for a good ear to lend.
20. are they vengeful? Post-Vesuvian Opal, no. Maybe... a little, but only if it’s vengeance for someone she cares about. She’ll throw hands at the drop of a dime if those close to her are threatened. Pre-Vesuvian, you bet your a$$ she was a fiery vengeance machine! Time and nearly losing her sight/her life have really done wonders to mellow a girl out.
30. which highschool movie stereotype would they fit best? Oh man. Definitely the tall, scary, broody-type in the leather jacket (probably with piercings and scratcher tats) who’s actually just a huge fucking softy.
17, 18, and 25! c:
17. do people like hanging around them? do they have a positive, friendly energy?Once people get past her… vaguely threatening appearance, she can be highly empathetic and overall just pretty good at reading the room (blessed be the water signs~). Unless it’s reading about romantic feels. Then it’s like talking to a brick wall. Emotions of love and support were not something she necessarily grew up with, so she does have a tough time expressing and understanding them (i.e. she gets real flustered over romance and might maybe cry if someone offered her true support). She has a fairly neutral energy until she warms up to someone.
18. is your oc a procrastinator? if they are, what’s an example of how much?I wouldn’t necessarily call her a procrastinator, but since leaving home she’s definitely become a lot more laid back. It’s easy to fall into such a routine when you don’t really have any responsibilities.
25. what does it take for your oc to trust someone?Oh man– loaded question. Probably just… time, honestly. Opal is from a somewhat cut-throat culture where it was survival of the strongest and most useful. Now that she’s settles in Vesuvia, she’s learning that it’s no longer eat or be eaten. Time, patience, and silently proving with the little things is what it takes to earn her trust.
There is in them a softer fire than the ruby, there is the brilliant purple of the amethyst, and the sea green of the emerald - all shining together in incredible union. Some by their splendor rival the colors of the painters, others the flame of burning sulphur or of fire quickened by oil.
