Can we get some more sibling facts?

There's not enough asks about them (manifesting them with mine).

Their name is Barrett^^ (stc, I've changed it a few times already fkskd)

Regardless of personality, gender and dynamic with MC, Barrett will always be a victim of some kind of violence against monsters.

Adopting monster children isn't something that happens every day.

Barrett was raised, like MC, in a human neighborhood (with all that that involves).

As I said, you'll be able to choose their age, gender, personality and relationship with MC.

I feel like oldersibling!Barrett would want MC to date M. And youngersibling!Barrett would prefer Devan.

Because they never fully connected with anyone in the human community outside of their family and close family friends, Barrett spends a lot of their free time online.

They were the one who found about the association (and how it was actively looking to find human workers) and so they decided to recommend it to MC.

but how would mc's parents, their sibling and Karus react to mc's passing? And for the sake of angst maybe all of them really close to mc 👀

They'd all be devastated, even if they weren't that close/didn't get along. The Venali house in general have always been a tight knit group historically and the MC's generation(s) is no exception.

But in the case of the MC who is close to their family:

MC's father, Arkus, would hunt down the person/thing responsible for their death. If it was sickness or something else in that vein the physician who treated the MC would take the brunt of that.

Alessia, the MC's mother would throw herself into her work. To most it would look like she didn't even have a grieving period, and to an extent it'd be true. Mentioning the MC in court while she's present would turn into social suicide, she wouldn't want any reminders of their death.

Karus and MC's sibling would never be able to act like they've gotten over the MC's death.

Karus would blame himself and likely spiral into a whole slew of bad habits. But only after helping his brother in law find the responsible party.

MC's sibling would take a page from their mother's book. Gone would be the era of them being nervous to do their work. They however, would eventually burn out unlike their mother, either their Champion or someone in the household would have to force them to rest.

Hi Vara, ask incoming! Let’s say that the ROs were meeting the MCs parents for the first time, and the parents decided to show them all of mcs embarrassing baby pics. What would their reactions be? If this is too spoilery to ask the by all means ignore it lol. Hope you have a good day!

Uuh I’m not sure that the ROs will meet MC’s family yet, but maybe... But if they do, this thing will only come up if your MC has a good relationship with their family. Although they will definitely meet your sibling in book 2, so there is a lot of chance that your sibling will tell embarrassing stories about your MC to the ROs :D Soooo maybe I’ll leave this as a potential spoiler now and not answer, but if I end up not including it, you should ask it again later 😘😘😘

Hi! Thank you for your answer about our sibling's age. I was just going to say how funny it would be to have an overprotective younger sibling, when I was hit with The Thought.

Since Val seem to be going all in on proper courting, they're likely going to seek approval of MC's family at some point. They've heard all about their sibling and Val are confident enough in themselves to expect introductions to go smoothly ...Only to find out that MC's sibling is a werewolf and it just somehow never came up before. (I've had to look up 19th century courting to make sure that family approval was included. The courting is also mostly public early on for the sake of modesty. Val are really about to make the whole office third wheel, huh)

Or a somewhat reverse situation with N being so excited that they finally get to meet MC's family only to realize that they have to play nice with a vampire now. That's top-tier romcom material right there.

Could we get some information on demons and dragons, since these are possible species for our sibling that we know next to nothing about yet?

Since Val seem to be going all in on proper courting, they're likely going to seek approval of MC's family at some point. They've heard all about their sibling and Val are confident enough in themselves to expect introductions to go smoothly ...Only to find out that MC's sibling is a werewolf and it just somehow never came up before.

Thisthisthis. Val is one of the least subtle people ever too😭😭😭 They'd just stand three feet apart from MC's sibling and would refuse to get any closer (it'd take all their willpower not to grimace and cover their nose, Val and all vampires tend to hate werewolf scents😭).

Val would be so caught off guard they'd probably just run to the bathroom for a few minutes (and then proceed to give themself a pep talk + the “okay, do you like MC that much anyway???” talk).

Pretty much nfjsnfks A is going to hate the world. They'd find it super inappropriate (and strange. Val has never done anything similar with anyone ever).

N is such a family oriented person too😭 They'd be so excited they finally got to meet MC's since they can't be around their [N's] family anymore!!

And them bam! Vampire smell and N trying to be polite for MC's sake while they try not to throw up😭😭

N would be much smoother about this than Val, that's for sure. And that's saying a lot.
