anyways so here's the official (but also not final) concept design for dodger w

SEMI SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN THE FIRST TWO EPISODES OF MCBW.

so you're probably asking (and if you're not idgaf) why the hell dodger, a rabbit, turns into a cat once infected with the beast virus. okay well truth be told I pulled this right out of my ass and I was only going off of information we were given in episode two, but also I decided to put my own little twist on it.

dodger's parents both represent their own animal - her dad, Grid Lane, is a hare (I fucking hate grid Lane I hate him I hate him but that's a story for another day) - and her mom, Strike Rush, is a cat. Grid Lane has more prominent rabbit features because he and Dodger come from a long lineage of racers that I decided to just name the Bunnylings, because well. they all look like rabbits. his features or dna or whatever the terminology is I can't remember it right now ended up making dodger look more rabbit-like, HOWEVER his mom as I stated previously is a lot more catlike, though her features were more subtle, thus dodger ending up with very little (visible) features. they had retractable claws and paw pads at the bottom of their feet, but that was all they really had from their mom.

anyway, fast forward to when dodger gets infected with the beast virus - my own interpretation of it since we still don't have much info - he possess more catlike features now because whatever is in that virus sort of activated that dormant "dna", or I guess in this case you could call it code. this doesn't mean that dodger is fully a cat, you might've not noticed but his ears are still long, just a lot more pointed. he's still a bnuy don't get your panties in a twist okay/j also unrelated but sorta not, dodger's mask linings are actually a hidden mouth wow ain't that something

but anyways, yeah. dodger w did in fact come to a dank river valley near you
