A Dawn of a new Friendship?
It’s only been two mere months after the battle of Mt. Silver. After being bested by Gold in a harsh, drawn out confrontation Red had retreated from the Mountain to heal his team at a Pokemon Center. It may have taken a few days, but, fortunately, all of them- even his prideful Charizard- managed to make a full recovery. However, during those few days to himself the Pokemon Master thought long and hard about what to do next.
It had become clear to him that they’ve stayed in one place for far too long. They’d become complacent with their position, and that had been there downfall. Gold was everything he used to be: Driven, determined, and willing to push himself and his team farther than anyone else. Just seeing the younger trainer was a re-awakening to Red, and with a renewed need for adventure behind him, the decision was made.
After contacting Professor Oak, who was delighted to ‘hear’ from him after all these years, and some fund transfers the legend had flown from the Kanto region to the Sinnoh Region. It didn’t take long for him to find his old sense of wonder as he traveled. Though, this time around he avoided the Pokemon League- he’s already a champ, so why do it again? No, this time he was more interested in completing the Sinnoh Region Pokedex and meeting all new Pokemon.
Which brings us to what he is doing now, fishing on the shore of Lake Valor.
