Derek sighed as he heard the girl coming before she even jumped on his back. He knew her heartbeat and scent, feeling her chaotic energy as she neared him. He didn’t fight her leap, letting the other land on his back comfortably just so he didn’t have to deal with the confrontation that would most likely happen if he did just toss her off. “I don’t want this to become a habit.” He said firmly as he piggybacked her across the library, back to the spot she had just come from. “I’m trying to find information. I don’t need distractions, alright?”

“i want to carry your children.”  the words are said earnestly, without a hint of a joke or lie held in loki’s tone. even her expression doesn’t give anything away.  but she breaks mere seconds later, a grin cracking through and she can’t stop the laughter that bubbles out of her.  “sorry, but - could you imagine?  would that even be possible for you and i,” she points between the two of them, eyebrows raised.  “eh, i’m loki,” she finally says with a shrug, “i’m sure i could find a way if we really wanted to.”

He was busy reading in the library once again, interrupted by a sudden splash and a feeling of liquid running down his neck and onto his leather jack. A snarl escaped him, eyes red and his movements quick as he shot up from his seat, grabbing her by the neck and pinning her against one of the shelves. “Do you think that’s funny?” His claws were inches from coming out and into her skin. “You aren’t even supposed to have drinks in here.”
