Greater Chicago Food Depository donation drive

The McCormick Foundation and WGN TV have partnered since 2021 to create opportunities for children and families to reach their full potentia

For my chicago fams theres a donation drive from WGN and the McCormick Foundation (I checked and yes, its the same McCormick you and I are thinking of) where every dollar donated at the link above to the Greater Chicago Food Depository is matched with 50¢. The McCormick Foundation is also paying for commercials and callouts on the news, so I guess thats why its not the full dollar.

My Dad, the photographer at McCormick Place Photo Expo 1971 (text from the New York Times article, April 11th 1971)

CLAIMED to be the largest photographic exposition ever held this side of the Atlantic Ocean, Photo Expo 71 opens this Saturday in Chicago at the newly rebuilt McCormick Place exposition hall. Sponsored by the National Association of Photographic Manufacturers, and supported by 19 other professional and trade associations.

Almost 400 manufacturers from over a dozen different countries will be represented at the show, which will have as its theme “The Universe of Photography.” A very high percentage of these companies will be exhibiting new products, some for the first time.
