Here you all are, then. I'd like to introduce my solution: Ensign Beckett, on loan from my old friend Emma, who works in the historic record department. Since she works in the historic records department and this is a goddamned spaceship, she was absolutely fine about sparing her helper for a little bit of babysitting. The kid- Chekov- needed someone to look after him, dammit. This Beckett fits the bill. Young, friendly, seems to like the space puppy here. I really hope this'll help the goddamned kid feel better. Ha. I finally found a way to get the goddamned kid out of sickbay and back on duty without having him end up passed out and cold as an ice pop in July- firstly, I'm giving him back his goddamned PADD so he can get on tumblr again, and second, I'm getting him a handler.

Alright. Since nobody is going to fess up, I guess we'll have to bring out good old Detective McCoy to find our prime suspects. Jim was my first guess, since he has a soft spot for the kid, but he has an alibi- he was with the hobgoblin. Spock himself wouldn't know what liquor is if it punched him and stole his logic. My next guess was Sulu, since he and Ensign Chekov are nice little buddies and whatnot, but he was over in botany and insisted that he would never do anything like that to the whiz kid- or at least, he wouldn't get him drunk and leave him alone. That leaves Scotty, the goddamned master of all funny business. -Dr. McCoy
