Here you all are, then. I'd like to introduce my solution: Ensign Beckett, on loan from my old friend Emma, who works in the historic record department. Since she works in the historic records department and this is a goddamned spaceship, she was absolutely fine about sparing her helper for a little bit of babysitting. The kid- Chekov- needed someone to look after him, dammit. This Beckett fits the bill. Young, friendly, seems to like the space puppy here. I really hope this'll help the goddamned kid feel better.
