The beach was something that Yuki had never experienced. Living in Tokyo as a baby, and then the countryside, the closest the pup ever got to the ocean was a nearby lake that the wild forest animals would often drink from. But the ocean-- the ocean had waves, ones that Yuki happily sprinted across the sand to jump into.
Her tiny laughs rang through the air as she resurfaced, paws paddling-- before another, bigger wave sneaked up on her. With a yelp, Yuki was taken by the current, rolled around, and spit back out on shore in her human form, coughing up the sea water.
Maybe the ocean wasn’t as fun as she thought...
