Grandpa and Grandma Dice spent the coldest Ohio winter months in Florida each year. They rented a cottage in Lake Worth and belonged to a club of misplaced northerners who returned annually to the area. I found this newspaper article about the entertainment at one meeting. Grandma (toward the bottom of the 3rd paragraph, Mrs. Marvin Dice) participated in a pantomime based on a story from Mcguffey’s Fifth Reader. I haven't got the Fifth Reader, so I have to be satisfied with showing a smaller set of reprinted books. The photograph is from an album of Grandma's. Most of the women from the Ohio division of the Tourist Club are pictured, perhaps after this performance.
