Bees are an essential part of our eco-system, due to the fact they perform the majority of the earth’s pollination which supplies 90 per cent of the planet’s nutrition – but they are facing steady decline. To highlight this, and to celebrate World Bee Day, McDonald’s has created the ‘world’s smallest restaurant’ which it's dubbed the 'McHive'.

The McHive has the Hagrid seal of approval! The beehives will sit on top of McDonald's restaurants begininning in Sweden. Five restaurants already have the McHives in place.
