List three honest flaws your favorite character has and talk about how those flaws make them problematic.

Everything. Maxie is nothing but flaws.

... ok I kid. But he has a whole lot of them. Let’s find the big three tho--

His ego is probably the biggest of his flaws. Having some pride can do good to someone, but it can also ruin someone when it goes into terrible proportion. Maxie’s ego makes it so that to him, nothing is off-limits in terms of politically incorrectness. He can allow himself pretty much anything, since he is the one greatest being Arceus has ever put in this world. Oh, there are other great people too, but they need to be guided in order to become greater. His ego is also what makes him overwork himself and bite more than he can chew: he needs to live up to his own expectations, even if that means damaging himself past the point of no return.

Second flaw is probably just how cruel and ruthless he is, resulting in a terrible, explosive cocktail. He will not show mercy, unless in extremely rare cases -- and should that happen, said mercy will be held against the person who ‘benefited’ from it. He will go to just any extreme to complete his goals, and that implies not minding stepping over boundaries, breaking people, sacrificing others, you name it.

Last but not least, his aggressiveness and viciousness are traits that definitely make him problematic. No matter the context, if he feels like he should attack, he will. It even goes to the point that as long as he hasn’t been neutralized in fighting contexts, he will still try to push himself further and won’t accept defeat. Any affront is met with a cold exterior and burning, inner rage that will reflect in actions taken -- some not being thought out, done on the spur of the moment.
