The Quarrymen play New Clubmoor Hall, Norris Green, Liverpool on the 23rd November 1957, 60 years ago today. These photos, taken by Leslie Kearney, are believed to be the first ever photos of John and Paul together. At the time the Quarrymen’s line up consisted of John and Paul on guitars and vocals,  Eric Griffiths on guitar, Len Garry on tea chest bass and Colin Hanton on drums.

Happy McLennon day everyone! Can you believe, sixty years ago, two boys met? Two boys, two musicians, two dreamers, two soulmates met, and everything started rolling. It just... it hurts me, in the sweetest of ways, to think of how they must have looked back on this day, and thought of everything they went through together, their music, their songwriting, and most importantly, how it started their love.
