1: Describe your comfort zone - a typical you-fic It’s either short character-centric slice-of-life snippets that may or may not have something to do with that character’s arc…or it’s the apocalypse.

15. If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose? I got this question twice so I’m going to cheat and give different answers. I answer phoenix a lot for these memes, and there’s definitely stuff about it that I’d change (there’s always things I’d change about fic once I’m a few years removed from it), but so much of that fic came from images I held very clearly in my mind, that I wouldn’t mind seeing it outside of my head.

21. How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting? It depends. If it’s something that I’m writing quickly on my phone just to get the words out and it’s only a couple hundred words that doesn’t have much bearing on anything, I’ll only read over it to make sure that autocorrect didn’t do anything weird. If it’s something I care about a little more, whether because it’s a scene/story that’s important to me or it’s important to the characters (this is a little more relevant to things dealing with my Shepards than other stuff) or it’s a gift fic, I’ll do an edit and then let it sit overnight and read it a few more times in the morning before hitting post.

And if it’s something that’s really long and plotty (especially if there’s a whole plot involved), it’ll go through an absurd number of edits. I sent each of my big bang fics off to their betas at least four times…and that was once the whole story was written, and my beta probably saw some intermediate bits too, and doesn’t count the number of times I went through those things myself. I still have a copy of phoenix on the shelf above my desk, and it has edits in five different colors so I could keep my revision runs straight.

14. Would you want to write canon for any of your fandoms (like be hired by showrunner to do an episode)? Which one?

You know, Silviya asked me this the last time this meme went around and I answered an emphatic hell no. But now I think, maybe? If Bioware really is doing ME4, I’d love to be part of that.

I’m in huge favor of an Earth 2 remake/reboot (the show was pretty terrible, but if anyone bothered to give it the time of day it could’ve been great). So if anyone has the capital to do that, let me know.

But, and this goes for all canons I’d possibly write for, the circumstances would need to be very specific:

it’d need to be a new-ish canon without many world rules/plots set up already

or

it’d need to be an established canon whose established plots I either have very little beef with, or whose established plots have very little to do with what I’m working on.

Lucissa?

when i started shipping or if i ship it: I started shipping it at about the same time I started having a huge Narcissa Malfoy problem in my life, right around when the sixth movie came out. And honestly I think I shipped it because "I want to read Narcissa-centric fic and if I go through her AO3 tag looking for only Narcissa fic then I'm gonna be very disappointed and bored so I guess I'll read this Narcissa/Lucius stuff along the way."

my thoughts: I've been so far down the Narcissa/Lily rabbit hole for so long that I honestly forgot I shipped these two. I think they fell in love at Hogwarts, but Narcissa really made him work for it.

what makes me happy about them: Narcissa. It's not that I don't care about Lucius, it's that standing next to Narcissa he seems very small and dull. Also that in the middle of a night of extreme terror, they both decided to tell Voldemort to go fuck himself and care about their son instead.

what makes me sad about them: that Lucius is so damaged after his stint in Azkaban, and they're both generally a disaster after living under Voldemort's rule for so long, that it'll take them ages to return to their pre-war happiness again, if they ever make it.

things done in art/fic that annoy me: anything that indicates that their relationship is disrespectful or unhealthy. Also I'm kind of over the arranged marriage trope, and the Lucius Is A Lot Older trope.

things i look for in art/fic: a respectful, loving relationship; it may have its ups and downs and Narcissa may be pissed as hell that Lucius opened their door to Voldemort and said "sure man, come in and have a sleepover," but at the end of the day - they're still a partnership.

my kinks: dom!Narcissa

who i’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I don't think of Lucius much outside the context of his relationship with Narcissa, and Narcissa/Lily is my Harry Potter OTP.

my happily ever after for them: some quiet cabin by the ocean somewhere, left delightfully alone after Harry wipe their record clean. Narcissa reconnects with Andromeda.

Oh I liked this a lot. The banter was excellent. And I have the same headcanon, that Solana and Nyreen used to be lovers!

Thank you! I love battlefield banter, and Omega was just so full of snark. And I like the Solana/Nyreen dynamic not only because yay lady turians because it gives Nyreen history with Garrus (which is fun for a Garrus/Shepard romance) without going the route of "oh, she was the recon scout." I feel like I read fic about the two of them...were you the one who wrote that? Or am I inventing fic again?
