Jean's german was surprisingly good, but his accent was heavy.

5 seconds of awkward silence. They looked at eachother, then at Éloi.

"Éloi, c'est quoi ce bordel?!", Jean asked.

"Éloi!", Jean shout-whispered, shaking his friend.

They all had so many questions.

Jean did not understand at all what was going on. Why was this stranger, this old man, in what he could recognize now as full soviet uniform, and who is presumably Éloi's grandfather, doing in their farm?

Éloi wondered how he didn't die coming from the Russia to France during a war, on foot and in the snow, and that man was what, 70? 80? How was that even physically possible?

Ivan was confused on why his grandson shared a room with... That guy. Was Éloi... Uh, you know... Did he... Like men?
