Ferro Lazure, he/him(/they?/it?), hexblood (formerly human) Great Old One warlock. you can read his full(ish) backstory here, so i won't get too into it, but he's part of a research facility slash cult that is unbeknownst to him is trying to groom him into being an avatar for an eldritch creature that they believe to be a deity of death in pursuit of science, the Traveller. the Traveller is his warlock patron, and it is not at all like that, actually, but it does still recognize Ferro's dedication (and resilience to its powers) and thus assists him in his studies of deities, planes, and itself; in return, it studies Ferro and how its powers affect him. their pact is kind of one of mutual respect as scientists.
as for Ferro's inspirations, he was based largely in Blue Stahli and his album Obsidian, as well as the promotional Experiments in Obsidian videos (first, second, third). the Traveller itself is the bone-creature from the album cover.
