             maybe she should      be talking to arizona about something like this. but such a personal matter, something that she doesn’t want anyone else to know yet  --  she could never bring herself to. months & months of trying, and she’s still struggling. it feels like she’s letting mark down, somehow, as if her body is betraying them both.

can you guys imagine the shepherd family gathering for the holidays?? derek finally bringing meredith and the kids, all sisters happy that derek finally decided to join them, amelia making in time for dinner but bringing addison with her because there’s no way she’s going to get through a family dinner without her closest sister by her side. also all the kids running around and playing with zola and bailey and henry and amelia slowly dying inside and getting outside, grasping for air because her son was supposed to be there too

              there are tears streaming down her tanned skin, as she tries to keep her eyes focused on the road. she’s only ten, being behind the wheel is the last place she should be. knuckles turn white as her hold tightens on the wheel, while speeding down the ( mostly empty ) streets. she had been playing dress up with her younger sister while being watched by their grandfather, when suddenly, he was struggling to breath. sofia called 911, but they were taking way too long. she couldn’t just watch him die, so she told gabby to stay put before getting her grandfather to the car, and flooring it to grey sloan. as she pulls into the emergency lot, sofia lays on the horn before coming to a screeching halt after she slams on her breaks. ( the cement barricade she runs into is what forces the car to a complete stop, though. ) ❝ somebody, help !! you need to help my grandpa !! he’s having a heart attack !! ❞ sofia climbs out of the car, as she watches several doctors swarm her grandfather. ❝ please make sure he’s okay !! ❞ sofia wails, before feeling someone pull her in the other direction. she’s only relieved when she looks up to see a familiar head of auburn hair. ❝ auntie addie !! ❞ spindly arms throw themselves around addison, holding on tight. ❝ they’re gonna fix him, right ?? i called 911, but they took too long !! and i didn’t mean to crash the car, but i just couldn’t stop fast enough !!  ❞

      ‘ i’m worried . no , no -- SCRATCH THAT . i’m FREAKING OUT . amelia  &  i , we’re like SISTERS but ... look , you’ve known her longer  &  you know how to HANDLE THIS . ’ of course , this is in reference to amelia DRINKING AGAIN . maggie truly does consider amelia to be a sister , but never in her life has maggie experienced anything as severe as ALCOHOLISM . coming to seattle has turned her world upside down  &  has changed her perspective on nearly everything . ‘ how do we help her -- h - how do we fix this ? ’

‘ don’t. stop that. don’t you dare give me your pathetic excuses. ’ Henry was beyond frustrated with his mother & he couldn’t even begin to explain how much she hurt him. It had been his first basketball game of the season & she missed it. when he looked up into the stands, the only familiar body he spotted had been sam’s. for a man who didn’t end up with his mother, he sure did take up a lot of interest in the kid’s after school activities. sort of like a father figure. someone that ensured he had someone there to cheer him on; from the time he decided to try out for soccer or when he took up the coaching position when he played baseball. the boy loved sports yet he didn’t have enough time in the season to play all of them. sometimes, he wished & even wondered what would’ve happened if things would’ve ended up differently.
