Mark had been in Seattle for less than twenty fours hours, he booked himself a nice suite in the Arch field with an undetermined check out date -- he was determined he wasn’t going back to New York without Addison; or at all. Maybe this was exactly what they needed, a fresh start. A clean slate. New York had been tainted, but here, in Seattle they could start a fresh, he could close up his practice bring it over to Seattle, they could get a nice house by the waterfront, they could be happy. But before any thing could happen he had to get her to talk to him first, and THAT was proving harder than he anticipated.
“C’mon ---- all I am asking for is the floor, not even the room number. You can tell me that, surely? -- no one is gonna get you in trouble ---what if you were to just say -- leave you desk for a second and I just happened to see what room Addison Forbes Montgomery was staying it? -- it’s not like I am some creep -- I DO know her, please? help a guy out ---” he gave the receptionist his best winning smile and winked -- that usually worked “alright fine ---- room 2019, but I never told you that.” she whisper giggling at Mark. “Thank you --- you are awesome.” Now all he had to do what show up at her door and make her talk to him, easy, right?
Knocking on door 2019 he waited patiently, he could hear someone stirring inside, he hoped he had the right room and that the receptionist hadn’t fobbed him off. The door opened and Mark monetarily was lost for words; Addison always had that affect on him. “Addie --- wait, don’t close the door on me yet, all I want is five minutes ---- five minutes, and then, if you don’t want to talk anymore I’ll go.” that was a lie -- but he needed a way in. “Please, Red -- give me 5 minutes, then I promise I’ll go ---”
