House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD-05) contrasts Build Back Better with the 2017 Trump Republican tax breaks for the filthy rich.
Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA-23) held the floor for nine hours in an effort to delay the vote on Build Back Better. Unlike other House members, the minority leader and majority leader can speak for an unlimited amount of time in the chamber.
McCarthy can delay the vote but cannot stop it. The House will vote on Friday.
