Suonno

This was a fun and yet tiring project, very late nights, very cold nights!

We were so unlucky with the shoot, every day there was some kind of disaster and we had to cancel a scene or the location, or do something different entirely. But so much fun, and Julia, the producer had great sandwiches!

So the shooting schedule was made on the spot for most of the time! I was going a little bit mental but I then got used to the rhythm of it and everything went fine!

Production Manager

I was a Production Manager for Faith until February, due to personal and professional differences it was best for me to leave the project. I had regular meetings with the producer of the time, George Rocha. We had a clear path for the logistics of the film and even though it had some ambitious aspects we were feeling positive.

As a production manager I wrote crew agreements, crew contact list, I searched for locations and delegated tasks with the production assistants, I searched for a sound recordist/designer which after talking with different candidates we then came to a decision , and Tatiana was hired.

I still think it was the best decision for me to leave the project, as it was very emotionally consuming. I hadn’t to the date ever left a project, and it wasn’t that I couldn’t handle the workload, but I think it was getting to the limit of everyone involved.

It’s very upsetting to get to the end of the film and look at the credits and not even a thank you was directed at me, I think that attitude alone explains if only a bit the reason to why I had to leave this project, for my own sanity.

SOUND...

Well, 11 days before the deadline the person in charge of sound dropped the project, with nothing done.

The sound bins weren’t sorted, the quality of the sound itself was not very good from the first shoot.

Peter Williams kindly offered to help us, but most likely won’t be ready on time.

After making the first assembly we realized we were actually lacking some coverage, and it would be best to do a reshoot and get some extra shots, as well as taking the opportunity to get a better sound recording.

We reshot on the 05/04 and then again on the 13/04. It really made a difference for the flow and understanding of the film, and even performance became so much better.
