michigan — SER program for energy related assistance (gas, propane, electricity, fuel oil etc) will run out of funding 6/15/24 and wont regain funding until 10/1/24!

SNAP(FAP)/CDC/MA Tip: if you’re in what’s considered BSC3 in Michigan: Allegan-Barry, Muskegon, Lanawee-Monroe, or Macomb counties your MDHHS (DHS) office will be shifting to what’s called Universal Case Load (UCL) on 2/12/24.

What this means is that you will no longer have an assigned case worker. Instead specialists working in queues (such as new apps or redeterminations) will be randomly assigned your case to process.

It also means several counties (indicated with a - above) have combined, so if you’re in Allegan someone in Barry may process your case. The idea behind this is to have better manpower by sharing workers between counties.
