Perhaps those who are willing to beta wangxian fics can comment on this post?  I’m sure there are many of you! (ETA:  there are many volunteers in the comments!)

Is there anywhere to find a beta besides shouting out into the void?  Does someone run a site for that?

ALSO:  @fandomtrumpshate runs an exchange called Regiment of Fan Laborers (ROFL) that has beta volunteers for multiple fandoms.

Would anyone like to read a 6.8k fic for me? I don't need a thorough Beta, just a look over to see if it makes sense and is enjoyable to read. LWJ is in a prominent role and I'm not fully comfortable writing him (and there's a certain stereotypical way he's often written that I just don't vibe with, and I fear because of that I don't have his voice right). And because of what the fic's for, I can't post it for over a month from now. Any takers?

I want to summon al the mdzs writers here, I just recently read about writing story and leaving it after 900 or so words so next writer can complete it, like it's cool maybe it starts from something rom and then turn political then random angst and again some fluff..

I don't know if this is okay to ask, but here goes - I'm trying to write a MDZS/WangXian Warframe AU. I'm looking for a beta reader who's familiar enough with MDZS to know if I'm getting the tone right for each character/not being OOC. Some knowledge of Warframe (especially the spoilery stuff) would be good, but it's not a hard requirement. And if this isn't the place to ask, do you know where/how I could find a beta?

Beta 4 Beta?

Hey, do you have a fanfic work in progress? Do you want a beta? I’d like a beta for my wip, and in exchange I can be a beta for yours

My fic is for the mo dao zh shi fandom, but your fic can be for any fandom. If it’s for a fandom I know nothing about, I will probably have a million questions so I can follow along, but I will also be able to offer suggestions on grammar and story structure without knowing everything about the original work, so I think it should work out okay

In the same vein, you don’t need to know anything about mo dao zu shi, though you may need to ask some questions to understand my fic

Anyway, some details about me and my fic:

I’m queer, and my story involves a lot of queer and gender stuff, and that includes honest explorations of homophobia and sexism, including compulsory heterosexuality and internalized homophobia

You must be 18+ because my work is E for Explicit

My work will involve intimate scenes between m/m couples, m/f couples, and one polyamorous m/f/f triad

My fic is an omegaverse au. In my verse, male omegas and female alphas have both the d and p

I won’t read anything that involves heavy gore, rape, sexual situations involving minors, abuse, dark versions of characters, incest, or other “dead dove” stuff. I respect your right to write whatever you want, I just don’t want to read it

I have severe emetophobia so if your work involves a lot of vomiting we probably won’t make for a good match

I want this relationship to be an ongoing thing. Ideally, we would talk once a week or every other week, encourage each other, and talk about what we’re writing, in addition to leaving suggestions on each other’s work

I have no definite end in mind for my wip and I do not know how long it will end up being. Currently I am at almost 12k words, though
