So I got introduced to this concept that Metamorphosis by Kafka can be an allegory for disability and or chronic illness. I have always wondered what did Alcina think of her genetic blood issues before the cadou. I’m still struggle with long term illness and my feelings behind that. While I’m coming to terms with my life now versus several years ago with help of a therapist I 100% believe she would have struggled. The world is hard on anyone who doesn’t conform right down to their health. Couple that as a Romanian lesbian during WW1 suffering from what is likely a painful disease with what I’m assuming would be poor medical treatment and you see someone under incredible amounts is stress. Even with money for treatment healthcare really started improving fast after the wars. It would have sucked and we are still learning about these complex conditions all the time.
Im so damn tired. I don’t think any of that made sense but I’ll probably visit the idea sometime. It’s just a fast note before I crash
