So I've been thinking about them. A lot.
While I'm not gonna drop my 'Quest is a shitty person' hc, looking at others art and thinking about them made me decide to... not make the yaoi doomed 😓 "how was it doomed??" You may ask, and lemme explain.
So since they can coexist, that means the... multiverse or whatever would be canon, and imo i like to think that two versions of the same person can't be in the same universe at the same time. And if they are? That universe straight up fucking kills itself!!!
Quest being in the Myth world was sorta causing cracks in reality and messing with the lore, which i doubt the celestials would like, but Quest can only leave if he has a soul. Why? To get there, he sorta... died. And while he managed to get back his body, for some reason the gods had a brainfart and just,,,, threw him into Myth. Now unlike Myth, Quest can very easily PERMANENTLY DIE, but he was just really fucking lucky and didn't. Quest is not risking his life just to get back home, so in his mind, if he PERMANENTLY kills his counterpart and uses his soul in some way (he hasn't thought this through), he can get back.
Now of course that wouldn't work, and my original plan was to make him realize that too late and have to live with just how much he fucking destroyed a world with his actions, blah blah, but I've decided to come up with a different idea. Eventually.
Quest is super egotistical when it comes to appearance and his fighting (except the finger gun...), and was at first only attracted to Myth because there were certain qualities they shared. Quest has a love-hate relationship with himself ngl.
I think Quest's feelings (that weren't that deep and based off of appearance) eventually grew and changed into something more complicated and genuine. He isn't put off by the idea of being with himself, just... being with someone in general. Myth is a bit oblivious, he doesn't fully catch on to everything Quest says, and despite how bad everything's going for him he's still smiling and having a good time. Quest couldn't even tell if it was a facade of some sort, though it would only make sense if it was. What was there to be so happy about?
I still think Quest would put Myth in danger or try and shove him into random situations because he wants to see how Myth deals with it, and will laugh and cackle if Myth fails miserably because hehe pain is funny and no one cares about your broken bones
I feel like I make Quest sound like an edgelord. He was in the original, and I hope he is to some extent now.
Now despite how I've described him as the one sorta in control and able to get Myth into trouble without consequences, at the end of the day, he is still much smaller and lacking in muscle than his older counterpart (6'1 Quest you will be missed 💔 i sorta hc Myth as like 5'10 so you can get where I'm coming from. Tall twink x short himbo). He would absolutely get his ass whooped in an actual fight. Fortunately, he has his magic bullets!!! Unfortunately he is still deathly scared to use them and can't aim with a steady hand anymore so his only option left is to run.
Idk why but I could see Myth picking Quest up by like his coat. Just grabbing that high collar and then lifting him off the ground while Quest panics before realizing he's completely safe and just accepts his fate. He can't beat Myth in strength so eventually he'd learn to just accept when mr i-can't-read picks him up randomly and carries him around because he knows it annoys Myth.
I don't wanna go in depth on them because my brain is having a good old "uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" moment and i know someone is gonna reblog and throw out some of their own headcanons which are actually in depth and better than mine,,, but still. Also i think i might be one of the few people who sees Quest as a shitty human being. Smh 💔
Idk if it's just me but doing something that I never tried and likely to do poorly is way easier than doing something that I am doing for some time now and theoretically can do well if I try, because since I am already somewhat skilled in this I am afraid that I might not be able to actually do well
