My NINAH hot takes:

- "Surgeon was the one who sewed up wireface's mouth, that's why they can't coexist" is a fun theory until you start actually thinking about it. Wireface stated his mouth was shut because "they" couldn't understand him, which would be a wild thing for the surgeon to do considering he constantly mentions helping people and is generally characterized as a kind-hearted person. For me, this reads more as people trying to villanize an innocent character in favor to the more "attractive" one, pulling shit out of their asses, 'cause I've seen people unironically hate on the surgeon and it's usually the same ones who baby wireface, a grown ass man btw.

- I feel like the message "don't judge people based on their appearance" is being lost when you look at the fan favorites and realize they're all generally attractive (in a way). People will go on and on about how ugliness deserves recognition and then proceed to only acknowledge coat guy or wireface or pale man (yes I do think pale man was designed to be attractive, he's basically the Tumblr sexyman of the game, fight me), like saying "yeah you can have one or two non-conventional features but in a way that's not too repulsive or else I won't care about you."

- For some reason all artists I've seen just refuse to draw neighbor's daughter's huge chin, narrow eyes and ugly smile? Every art piece I've seen she's being drawn with typical anime little girl proportions (which is in and of itself weird... why would you want a child to be pretty?) and it's getting tiring.

- No, just because the abusive husband's knuckles are clean when he's a visitor doesn't mean he's nicer to his wife, 'cause the dialogues don't change and it just doesn't make sense for a visitor to be like that whatsoever.

- Gravedigger has a huge potential to be one of the most interesting and important characters, if the theory that visitors are reanimated corpses holds true. It's very intriguing how seemingly the only way to detect if he's a visitor or not is via a photograph and literally nothing else (the dialogue where he talks about digging a grave is a sign too but that can be easily missed). This implies he's somehow more efficient at disguising as a human than anyone else, and I'm plenty sure it somehow has to do with either his occupation or past, but for some reason fans dismiss it in favor to characters with much more straightforward stories.

- There shouldn't be an argument about how ships ruin the fandom because 1) shipping is the pinnacle of fandom experience, you just can't exclude it, and 2) the game doesn't even takes itself very seriously (the cat's model having hearts fly out of him when he's being pet; the inclusion of Prophet Sunboy; a concerning number of male characters talking about genitals and asses; Amogus guy; etc.) so it's not as jarring as, say, Mouthwashing fandom. I'd also say the argument that "it's about an apocalypse, there's no place for romance!" is bullshit as well since you'd think that, if the world is ending, people would want to take most out of their lives, including getting all lovey-dovey with each other, 'cause why care anymore? But I digress.

- This one's less serious than the others: coldbeer (coat guy x bar guy) ship is peak if you read them as two melancholic poets who have been lonely all their lives and find tranquility in one another. Also, hear me out... this ship, but bar guy is the botto-

My favorite cousin, who spent years working on making his own game, finally released it. And what do I do?? I go out of my way to make him the worst possible First Fanart imaginable :'D I wanted to draw some cube yaoi, I had to ask him which cube is most likely to become a tumblr sexyman. I don’t think he knew what the hell I was talking about, but I’m pretty sure dark cube fits the bill. >:)

It's called The Inconvenient Platformer. It's a precision platformer, “getting over it” style game, where the goal is at the top, and you have to use the best hand eye coordination you can muster to make it up there. I knew it was gonna be tricky (like most of these games) but I’m a little surprised with how far I’ve been able to go.

This is his first ever full game that’s wholly his, and a learning project that spread across THREE YEARS. The entire thing was made from scratch and hand coded in Godot. He made a freaking level editor using code. (I can’t even wrap my head around that.) And he did all the visuals and everything too. ALL the textures, assets, everything was drawn by him. I got to watch the whole thing come together these past few years, and it’s been so cool to see him add onto this project, and improve. I’m so proud of him, and all I wanna do is shove this in everyone’s faces. If you could purchase it on Steam, it would mean the world to me! Or do whatever you can to help it algorithmically, wishlist it, follow, tell your friends, etc. I want to see him do more like this because I know it makes him happy.
