HI can you remind me the plot of my babysitter’s a vampire?? i remember LOVING the tv show when i was younger but now i’m trying to come up with an au with what i barely know about it and i’m too lazy to watch the show lmao so it’d be greatly appreciate;D

ok so first came the movie
which was basically,
Ethan is a seer, and best friend to Benny, who’s a witch. Sarah is Ethan’s (and Ethan’s baby sister’s) babysitter, and also the first vampire on their side. Or, rather, a fledgling vampire, which means she won’t become a real vampire if she can resist drinking human blood for a certain amount of time.
When Sarah comes to babysit them the first time, she ends up leaving after confirming they don’t actually need a babysitter, and Ethan and Benny wind up following her which leads them to discover she’s a vampire.
They freak out, and she sort of freaks out, but calms them all down and explains her situation. I think they offer to help her out ? This part’s a little fuzzy for me lol. They go back to Ethan’s house and the pizza delivery guy is a vampire and tries killin them, but sarah kills him first.
Afterwards, Sarah goes to Jesse’s (Sarah’s ex, and the vampire who bit her) vampire party and Ethan and Benny go even though Sarah told them not to bc they want to make sure she’s ok
Jesse plans on biting the humans that showed up, including Ethan and Benny, but I think they manage to escape with Sarah’s help. Erica, Sarah’s best friend, and Rory, Ethan and Benny’s friend, both end up getting bit and become fully vampires.
Rory confirms later by visiting Ethan and Benny that he wouldn’t bite them, and he becomes a sort of insider to get them info on Jesse’s plan, which is to get the Cubule Animus that will capture the souls of 100 humans which he can then use to bring back his vampire army.
At some point, Benny’s grandmother reveals herself to be a witch, and also reveals that Ethan is a seer whose power is activated by touching something or someone (in his case in the movie, it’s often Sarah), and Benny is also a witch. She gives Benny her spellbook, and also gives them some daggers that they can use to fight the vampires.
Ethan, Benny, and Sarah work together to fight against Jesse, who uses the Dusk (twilight ripoff lololol) premier to gather a bunch of humans for his Evil Plot(tm) and they handle themselves pretty well and save a bunch of people which is dope (Note: Erica fights with the other vampires but she leaves unscathed and is pretty morally ambiguous afterwards if memory serves. Rory is also there briefly and Ethan warns him to leave, which he does.)
Jesse and Ethan end up in a short stalemate where Ethan has the Cubule Animus Jesse wants/needs, and Jesse has Sarah pinned to a tree. Thankfully, Benny’s grandmother (and Ethan’s little sister) cast a spell that gives Sarah time to free herself and run back to Ethan and Benny. Ethan opens the box and all the souls inside attack Jesse and ‘’’’’kills’’’’’ him
then they go back to school the next day and adjust to their new normal or whatever and it’s gucci
For the SHOW, i’ll admit i don’t think i watched every single episode because i caught a bunch of repeats when it was still airing but it mostly had a lot of plots that were just for an episode.
The biggest thing to take from the show is that Jesse ended up biting Ethan, and the only way he could be saved from becoming a vampire/fledgling himself was if Sarah bit him to take the venom out. Ultimately, she decided he was worth it, and bit him. So while he was saved from becoming a vampire, Sarah shed her fledgling status to become a full vampire, and disappeared for a little bit.
That’s one of the few things from the actual show i remember but uhh yes >3c
