Polyam Powsario Notes Part One

What Mario is to Peach: Very humble and genuine. Non-judgmental. Princess Peach loves her Kingdom, but she can feel tired or overwhelmed sometimes. Mario's sweetness brings her down and reminds her that she's allowed to relax. From the start, he was willing to risk his life for a kingdom he didn't know about. He's brave, determined, and so good hearted. And it's clear that he's a comforting, warm presence to her. She loves spending time with him. He's fun and a light-hearted competitive, he's action-oriented, he's soothing.

What Bowser is to Peach: Exciting, risky. His benevolent iron fist ruling is... unique. They can hold political chats and rants for a long time. While at first, being kidnapped was a frightful, unwanted experience, Bowser's Keep is like a second home now. It took a long time, because Peach's Kingdom comes first, and Bowser's selfishness assured that she'd be repelled. There's more to Bowser than that, but the fact that he presented himself with lies, macho strength and no consideration clouded the ability to see that. In turn, Peach refused to see good in him, at first.

What Mario is to Bowser: Infuriating, that's what he was...at first. Bowser grew to hating everything about him. How his determination trumped his own strength, how tales spoke highly of Mario and how he easily defeated the Tyrant King. Bowser grew obsessed. No putter how much he shoves, Mario pushes back. Mario was the bane of his existence. Because obviously, that plumber was the only thing stopping his victories, right? His obsession slowly grew, and Mario stopped fearing him after some time. He wanted to learn about Mario to see what makes him tick, stumble, lose! He became possessive. Only he would defeat him. And when Mario started looking at him, and reaching out with kindness, that's when Bowser was really... confused. Which made him mad.
