I dunno where this anti-ceiling light movement came from. least relatable meme of recent years. like I actually like being able to see stuff clearly? I like being able to fully illuminate the entire room brightly and clearly with a flick of a switch. Like you don't like the shitty industrial ceiling can lights? sure I can get behind that but like a nice big frosted glass ceiling light? gorgeous.

#also I am fully behind daylight bulbs #but every depiction of their color online is not what they are like #they are like warm bright light #not cool #they're not yellow like warm white lights but they're not the awful blue white of cool white #like the perfect neutral but bright light #I acknowledge that some of this discourse prob is modulated by what type of place you live #like the big light in a dorm or studio apartment prob has a different vibe #and all of this is subjective nonsense #but I refuse to agree with anti-big light sentiments #meaningless post #tumblrs aging user base #or something

note to self: outline the parallels between erika and natsuhi when we get to ep5 in the future.

after watching a friend read through most of ep5 yesterday, it's occurred to me that it no coincidence that the target of the prideful, dreadfully insecure rat hanging off of bernkastel's approval was natsuhi.

we can easily extrapolate this to what it says about bernkastel too. erika is her self-insert. she laughs at her, even invites others to laugh at her. but while she is in fact abusing someone external to her (on a literal but still magical level, 'erika' was not always 'erika', she was someone bernkastel ripped from somewhere else entirely), because erika is her self-insert, i think she is abusing herself too. self-loathing at its worst. which, while we're at it, can you not feel the temptation to draw parallels between bernkastel and the One Behind All of This? because you can.

oh the ouroboros that is umineko GRRR it's been 17ish years since i first fell into you (WAIT 17?? FR? YEP BECAUSE I GOT INTO UMINEKO WHILE THE ANIME WAS COMING OUT OMFG) and yet i think about you underneath all the things i do. all the time.

oh yeah also hi to anyone preemptively following me. this is my first post here, so i should hi. um ah uh i am not ready to fill this blog up yet with stuff though once i do, it won't stop coming and won't stop coming. as you can see, umineko is in my veins. i attribute my ability (potential) to think beyond what i see to reading umineko as i was growing up (as it was coming out too.)

also as to my name, not that matters. but way back in the day, when i was on a certain art platform, this was my name. my pfp was of beatrice (from the anime). unfortunately, the version without the 'the' was already taken, so we must compromise.
