Super excited to announce I have been selected by curator Carla Acevedo-Yates to be in the MECA art fair! I will have a solo booth in the Mecanismos section of the fair with Aqui Gallery of Santiago Chile. MECA sprouted up in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of hurricane Maria as a kind of radical defiance to the traditional art fair, inviting international artists and curators to exhibit more politically challenging and radical works while rebuilding the island’s artist communities. A quick after Inktober post! So Inktober was hard and took a lot out of me. BUT I think theres a solution that will benefit all of us.
