HC when Derek opens the mechanic shop he’s obsessed with fixing the jeep first, especially getting rid of all that duct tape. He doesn’t care how much money it’ll take to replace all the parts, he has plenty of money lying around. He brings Eli with him sometimes which starts Eli’s obsession with the jeep.

The next time Stiles comes home he notices the jeep is gone. His dad gets home before he can fully panic and lets him know Derek has the jeep. Stiles is super confused why Derek of all people would have his jeep. After seeing the look on his face his dad tells him Derek opened an auto shop. Stiles is shocked not that he didn’t expect Derek to live so normally but he’s actually doing something that makes himself happy.

Stiles takes his dad’s car to Hale Auto and sees his jeep in the front. He notices the new tires and rims before he opens the hood and sees brand new parts everywhere. He’s never seen his mom’s car is such good condition. Derek notices him first but doesn’t move. Stiles turns around and gives him a tighter hug than the normal Stilinski hug. Neither of them let go for a while. Stiles pushed away first and says thank you with his eyes tearing up.

I saw this video the other day of a dad who was a mechanic doing a service on a Cozy Coupe because the wheel wasn't aligned and he acts like its a proper service on a car and I could just imagine mechanic Derek fixing Eli's Cozy Coupe. Once he fixes the wheel, he looks the car over. He checks the lights, the steering, the horn. "The engine is in the waiting room, waiting for his car".

Derek Hale barely remembers his customers’ names beyond of breakdown of their bill and general summary of what was done to their car. Mentally he categorizes them by make, model, and problem. He’ll be grocery shopping with Eli and bump into Mrs. Toyota Crysler Fogets To Change Her Oil and let’s her rattle on about grandchildren before continuing withe his shopping. Or he’s making business deposits at the bank and Mr. Ford F-250 Rusty Transmission is trying to convince him to open a CD, but the line behind him is long.

But Light Blue Jeep FUBAR’d is Stiles. And not even Derek knows how Stiles keeps that thing running.

Imagine Derek going into the shower while stiles is there and stiles thinks “ooh this is gonna be hot and sexy showering together” but nope. Derek seriously exfoliates in the shower. He scrubs off all the dirt and grime since he works in a mechanic shop. And he does the same to stiles. So now anytime they come out the shower stiles is rubbed raw and pink (not the good kind). But afterwards Derek moisturizes him and that’s nice and soothing.

(I just laughed to myself at the idea that after the first time, Derek gets in the shower with Stiles and Stiles scrambles out of the shower as fast as he possibly can--like Looney Tunes speed running)
