I need a bigger, better cage for my two budgies with plenty of space but at a strict budget and I was wondering what you would recommend as a birb expert??? :D <3

Depending on your price range, there are a fair number of decent cages you can get for fairly cheap that will house two budgies comfortably! Generally, cages with more width than height are ideal (since budgies can’t do vertical takeoffs like a helicopter), but as long as the volume of the cage is 9720 cubic inches or greater, it should be fine!
If you’re on a very strict budget, this is the cage we first had when we had two budgies, and it’s very reasonably priced (about US $48). It’s not the absolute best cage (the main issue I had with it is that the bottom grate doesn’t pull out, so it’s a little less convenient to clean), but it lasted us a few years until we could get a bigger one.
If you’re looking for something bigger than the minimum, we’ve been really pleased with our Vision cages, and have found them reasonably priced on Petco.com and Amazon! You could go with anything from the “Medium-Tall” (M02) on up and it should be fine (just make sure these are the ones with the “small” wire spacing--they make ones with wider wire spacing, but that’s too big for budgies). We have the “Large-Tall” (L02), which runs about US $100-$120, and would be plenty big enough for two budgies.
If you’re looking for something with a LOT of space, there’s always this flight cage, which runs between US $120-$200! This is the one we have for Spencer, so it would be HUGE for two budgies! With both this one and the first one I linked to, though, I suggest that you discard the wooden dowel perches they come with and put in some perches of varying diameter so your budgies’ feet can get some exercise.
It can also help to shop around, especially online--we got Spencer’s cage on Amazon for about $120, which is a pretty amazing deal for a cage that size, so please don’t feel like you have to purchase from Petco just because that’s where I linked to!
