Has anyone else experienced the Mirena IUD crash BEFORE removal? Shoot me a message or comment, this shits confusing and kind of scary. I think mine might have moved out of place but I’m almost at the 5 year mark and I’ve had hella symptoms. I primarily have mine for menstrual regulation so the symptoms I’m having are really messing with me. Primarily, I’m constantly nauseous, I have been for two months. I’m going to talk to someone on Monday but I just want to know I’m not going crazy?

Suddenly I’ve been having doctors telling me it’s good for 7 years now but, I don’t trust that at all. I know info can change but that’s such a drastic change, and not a single doctor I talk to will explain WHY it’s good for 7 instead of , just that “oh we have new info”. Like what is that info??

When we were on vacation we delayed the bodies period (with doctors approval). Could doing so be what's causing the fatigue?

Medication side effect inquiry:

Is there anyone here that had/has insane dizziness to the point of nausea while taking Paxil? Because I’m on a half-dose and damn.

Dealing with headaches and tinnitus for days now :/ it definitely got worse today so that I have to lie down soon. I've been thinking about my troubles with the meds lately and could it be theoretically that my protein shakes interact with or influence the meds somehow? There are a lot of amino acids in there and I started with them just a few days before the new receipe (same dosage, just different brand).

Has someone experience with taking protein shakes and antidepressants (serotonine and noradrenaline reuptake) at the same time?

friends who have medical experience: is it normal for a doctor to offer me a benzo before a blood draw? when i’ve never taken one and never had a prescription for one, ever?

I went in for a Paxil refill and the doctor decided to do tons of bloodwork. I said I would prefer not to if possible because I usually have a panic attack when that happens and it was 9am and I was planning to go to work after the appointment...she said oh we can give you a [brand name for a benzo I forget which one] and I was like no thank you i am DRIVING from here to my JOB afterwards not tryna get floaty at 9am on a monday 

but if i had said yes, would she just like...give me a random one they have lying around at the doctor’s office? how would that work? would they have charged me for it? would she have written me a retroactive rx?

and would you recommend saying yes next time a doctor offers me something to calm down? 

(usually if I know I’m getting blood drawn I don’t plan the appointment for a weekday morning...but this is a doctor who tried to prescribe me psych meds without actually *seeing* me so i figured a refill would not be a big deal...she also did a breast exam because paxil gives you breast cancer apparently???)

my doctor put me on tamsulosin to help with my kidney stones and it’s making my blood pressure really low and right now it’s 88/62 should i be worried?? it’s usually pretty normal

Question to all UK/France Medblrs

So my Internet searches were not very concluent (everything I found was about licensed doctors having fully completed their training). 

As a Canadian medical school graduate, what chances do I have of getting the equivalent of residency/specialty training in the UK or in France?

I’m not a EU citizen. Hell, I don’t even have a bachelor’s degree because of the weird school system here in Quebec ._. 

Do I have any chances at all outside of North America?

Today was my monthly pain clinic visit and I’ve been doing so badly lately that my doctor switched me from my regular 10/325 Hydrocodone 4/day to the Fentanyl patch 12 mcg/hr with 5/325 Hydrocodone every six hours for break through pain.

I was like, alright...We’ll see how this goes.

Well, now I’m home and doing all kinds of reading about Fentanyl patches and I’m fucking TERRIFIED!!! Every single thing on the internet is like, “DEATH!” “You will DIE!” And now I’m losing my mind over it!!!!!

They’re the lowest mcg strength you can get in the patches...And I have a VERY high opiate tolerance...But JESUS, COME ON!!!!!

Now I’ll be up all night hoping I won’t die!!!!

Anyone around here have experience with Fentanyl or Fentanyl with Hydrocodone on the side???
