If I cast Meddling Mage, then copy its ETB trigger when it enters with Strionic Resonator, am I allowed to name 2 cards, and neither of them be cast? Or no, because it says "the named card" (Singular) can't be cast
This doesn’t work.
Meddling Mage has a replacement effect, not an ETB trigger. It’s like Iona or a clone: you make the choice as it’s entering the battlefield and it’s never on the battlefield with that choice not made for it yet.
