Toxic Home Arcade Fanbase on YouTube

I was catching some of what the home arcade YouTube crowd have to say and TBH I'm regretting it. They bring me no joy just annoyance and depression.

Like parroting each other saying Basic Fun just A1UP 2.0 so therefore other YouTubers don't like them they just want to get them for free..

Like nobody likes them so therefore they want to have them be sent to them for shilling for them yet they won't be showing them off behind them in their videos... makes a whole lot of sense.. They also laugh at others misfortunes like the whole snafu with Media1UP/Iconic Arcade pre-orders.

First of all they're conflating their opinions with facts and keep on acting like negative rumors they've heard are true despite the fact that they aren't substantiated..

"All but confirmed".. that's basically BS code for "I want this to be true in order to rub it in other's faces!"

If that's what community is then I don't want to have any part of it. And my stuff here is a lot better than they imply it is especially after I customize it and I do not like the designs of the products they tout as being better and all you need... I see that stuff the way they see alternatives..

Here's the thing... how do I know they aren't the thing they accuse others of being.. shills and are trying to shill their favorite multicade so they can get kick backs?

Either way all I get out of it is negative feelings and exasperation and I wish I could just block YouTube channels so they won't show up in my feed at all or in searches, etc.

Reason why I don't like it is there's no shortage of negativity or reasons to feel bad and to engage with them either with just viewership much less interactions with comments/etc. would be me just wallowing.. which is especially bad because they obviously take so much delight in it..

I understand why Arcade1UP and others would distance themselves with the vocal fanbase online because they are toxic AF!

Am I supposed to just stop enjoying playing and customizing and adding to my home arcade just because they don't approve of my choice of brands?

Screw them, I won't do what they tell me!
