୨୧ toxic! tamsy - who switches up if you mention rudo.
you been on a long mission with just rudo, so when you came back tamsy questioned you.
“may i know where you were at?” he smiled and continued to brush his long hair.
“sorry tamsy, i was in a mission with rudo tha—” you paused as he slammed his brush onto his table.
“i thought you knew to stay away from him sweetheart” his voice dropped into a low voice.
“i know but corvus—” you tried to explain before he cut you off again.
“enough. you don’t want to go back into the cage huh? leaving you to starve and chained up? leave you there for days just like i did to amo? i thought you knew better..”
his smile stayed, but it looked wrong now, like a big smile like it didn’t reach his eyes at all. he slowly stood up from his chair, every step calm, unhurried, like he wasn’t angry at all. like this was already decided.
“look at me when i’m talking to you” he said softly, two fingers lifting your chin whether you wanted it or not, his touch gentle but controlling, forcing your eyes to meet his.
“you think i don’t know what rudo does? the way he looks at you. the way he talks to you” he laughed quietly, shaking his head, brushing a strand of your hair behind your ear like he was being kind. “i let you go on that mission because i trusted you. and this is how you repay me?”
you tried to pull back, but his hand tightened just a little, enough to remind you that you couldn’t. his voice stayed calm, almost sweet, which somehow made it worse.
“say you’re sorry” he whispered. “say you won’t do it again. because if i hear his name come out of your mouth one more time…”
his eyes flicked toward the dark hallway, where the door to the lower rooms were. there was another room he usually locked you up, the place he locked amo up was already known, so he changed the locations.
“i’d hate to remind you how lonely it gets down there..” he continued, smiling again. “no light. no voices. just you and your thoughts. and i know how much you hate being alone.”
he leaned closer, his forehead resting against yours, voice dropping into something almost affectionate.
“be good for me” he said quietly. “i’m the only one keeping you safe. you know that, right?”
୨୧ toxic! tamsy - who acts gentle in front of others, but turns sharp the moment you’re alone with him.
you were fixing your gear when tamsy leaned against the doorway, watching you for a little too long, his smile easy, lazy.
“you look tired” he said, voice light. “missions been rough?”
“yeah..” you answered quietly, not thinking much of it.
he hummed, stepping closer, circling you like he was bored. “funny. because i heard you volunteered to stay longer.”
you froze. “i just wanted to help.. and enjin needed help—”
“help” he repeated, tasting the word like it amused him. then his hand snapped out, gripping your wrist, not hard enough to bruise, just enough to hurt. “you don’t help without me saying so.”
he leaned down, his breath warm near your ear. “you forget that i decide where you go. who you talk to. what you’re allowed to care about.”
you tried to pull away, but he didn’t let you. instead, he smiled wider, eyes dark, almost excited.
“i like it when you struggle” he admitted softly. “it tells me you still know your place.”
you whispered his name, hoping it would calm him, but it only made his grip tighten.
“don’t” he snapped, the softness gone in an instant. “you don’t get to say my name like i owe you kindness.”
he dragged you closer, forcing you to look up at him. “you see, i protect you. and protection comes with rules.”
his thumb pressed into your pulse, feeling your heartbeat speed up. he laughed quietly.
“still scared?” he asked. “good. fear makes you honest.”
then he let go suddenly, stepping back like nothing happened, fixing his gloves calmly.
“i’ll pretend this never happened” he said casually. “but next time you disappoint me…” his eyes flicked back to you, cold and warning.
“i won’t be this patient.”
୨୧ toxic! tamsy - who punishes you with silence instead of yelling.
the room felt wrong the moment you walked in. too quiet. tamsy was sitting by the window, back turned to you, fingers tapping slowly against the glass like he was counting something only he knew.
“tamsy?” you said softly. no answer.
you took a step closer. “did i do something wrong?”
he laughed under his breath, low and tired, finally turning his head just enough for you to see his eye. “you really don’t know?”
your stomach sank. “if i did, i didn’t mean to—”
“that’s the problem” he interrupted calmly. “you never mean to. you just do.”
he stood up slowly, brushing past you without touching you once. the lack of contact felt worse than being grabbed.
“do you know how embarrassing it is” he continued, voice flat, “to hear your name mentioned in rooms you shouldn’t be in? to hear that you were laughing. smiling. like you forgot who you belong to?”
you tried to speak, but he raised a finger, silencing you without even looking.
“don’t talk” he said quietly. “i want you to feel this.”
he moved around the room, picking things up, putting them back down, acting normal, like this wasn’t tearing you apart.
“i give you comfort. safety. purpose” he went on. “and you repay me by acting careless.”
finally, he stopped in front of you, looking down, eyes cold and distant.
“i’m not angry” he said. “i’m disappointed. and you know that’s worse.”
he leaned in just enough for you to hear him clearly.
“you’re going to stay here tonight. alone. no missions. no company. no reassurance” he whispered. “maybe then you’ll remember how empty it feels without me.”
then he straightened, already turning away.
“think about what you did” he said over his shoulder. “i’ll decide when you’re worth forgiving.”
୨୧ toxic! tamsy - who scares you first, then softens his voice like nothing ever happened.
the knife was still buried in the wall when he turned back to you. it had missed your head by inches, close enough that you still felt the air move past your cheek.
“don’t ever lie to me again” tamsy said quietly, eyes sharp, smile gone. “because next time, i won’t miss.”
your hands were shaking. you couldn’t even speak.
then his expression changed. just like that. his shoulders relaxed, his eyes softened, and he let out a small sigh, like he was the one hurt here.
“hey..” he said gently, walking toward you. “look at you… you’re terrified.”
he reached out slowly, giving you time to flinch, before his hand settled on your cheek, thumb wiping at the tears you didn’t realize were falling.
“i didn’t want it to go like that” he murmured. “you just push me sometimes. you know how i get when i’m scared of losing you.”
you tried to step back, but he pulled you into his chest instead, holding you tight, one hand cradling the back of your head. his grip was firm, possessive, but warm.
“shh” he whispered. “it’s okay now. i’m calm. see? i’m always gentle after.”
his fingers brushed through your hair slowly, almost lovingly. “you make me do things i hate” he said softly, like a confession. “but i forgive you. i always do.”
he tilted your head up, pressing a kiss to your forehead, lingering just long enough to make your chest ache.
“you’re safe with me” he smiled. “as long as you don’t give me a reason not to be.”
then he rested his chin on your head, holding you like nothing bad ever happened, like the threat wasn’t still echoing in your ears.
“see?” he whispered sweetly. “good girls don’t get hurt.”
୨୧ toxic! tamsy - who smiles at you like a saint right after reminding you how easily he could ruin you.
his hand was still gripping your jaw when he finished speaking. not hard enough to bruise, just firm, just enough to make it clear you weren’t moving anywhere.
“don’t make me repeat myself” tamsy said quietly, eyes sharp, voice calm in a way that made your chest feel tight. “i don’t like it when you test me.”
you nodded fast, breath uneven. that was all he needed.
his grip loosened instantly. his hand slid away like it was never there in the first place. then he sighed, soft and gentle, like the tension was finally gone.
“there you go” he smiled, warm and sweet. “see? that wasn’t so hard.”
he stepped closer, careful now, slow, giving you space like he was the most patient person in the world. his fingers brushed your sleeve, light and almost shy.
“i hate scaring you” he murmured. “it really hurts me when it comes to that.”
he tucked a loose strand of your hair behind your ear, touch tender, affectionate. “but you understand why i have to, right? if i don’t remind you… you might forget how dangerous the world is without me.”
your silence didn’t bother him. he took it as agreement.
“come here” he said softly, opening his arms. when you hesitated, his smile didn’t fade. “it’s okay. i won’t hurt you now.”
when you finally stepped closer, he wrapped his arms around you, warm, protective, holding you like you were something fragile and precious.
“you did good” he whispered near your ear. “i’m proud of you for listening.”
his hand rested on your back, slow, steady, grounding.
“as long as you behave” he added sweetly, almost playful, “you’ll only ever see this side of me.”
୨୧ toxic! tamsy - who enjoys watching fear bloom before he ever touches you.
his voice was calm, almost bored, like he was talking about the weather.
“you know how regto ended up, right?” tamsy asked, tilting his head, eyes fixed on your face.
your breath caught. “don’t say his name.”
he smiled wider at that, slow and pleased. “why? does it scare you?”
he stepped closer, close enough that you could smell him, close enough that backing up wasn’t an option anymore. his hand rested on the wall beside your head, trapping you there without actually touching you.
“people like him always think they’re in control” he continued softly. “until they’re not. until someone decides they’ve become… inconvenient.”
your heart was pounding so loud it hurt. “you wouldn’t—”
“kill you?” he finished for you, eyes lighting up, almost excited. “oh, sweetheart.”
he laughed quietly, leaning in until his lips were near your ear. “i could. just like that. and everyone would understand why.”
he pulled back just enough to see your face, to watch the fear settle in your eyes. he lingered there, savoring it, like this was the part he liked most.
“look at you,” he murmured. “shaking already. i haven’t even done anything.”
his fingers finally touched you, lifting your chin, forcing you to look at him. his thumb pressed lightly under your jaw, testing, measuring.
“regto thought he was untouchable” tamsy whispered. “and look how that turned out.”
then, suddenly, his expression softened. his grip loosened. his thumb brushed your skin gently, almost lovingly.
“don’t worry” he smiled sweetly. “i’m not going to kill you.”
your chest loosened for half a second.
“not as long as you’re useful” he added quietly. “not as long as you behave.”
he leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead, cruel in how gentle it was.
“be good for me..” he whispered. “i’d hate for you to end up like him.”
୨୧ toxic! tamsy - who speaks about death like it’s a lesson, not a threat.
he didn’t raise his voice this time. that was the worst part. tamsy sat across from you, elbows resting on his knees, watching you like he was studying something fragile.
“you know regto right?.. rudo’s stepdad” he asked casually, like it was an old story people tell when they’re bored.
your body tensed instantly. “don’t.”
he smiled at that, slow and knowing. “see, that reaction” he said softly. “that’s fear. honest fear.”
he stood up and walked around you, footsteps unhurried, almost lazy. you could feel his presence behind you before you felt his hand settle on your shoulder.
“he thought he could do whatever he wanted” tamsy continued, voice low, almost gentle. “thought consequences were for other people.”
his fingers pressed down slightly, not painful, just enough to remind you he was there. in control.
“and look where that got him.”
you swallowed hard. “you’re not like him.”
he laughed quietly, leaning down so his mouth was close to your ear. “no” he whispered. “i’m worse. because i know exactly what i’m doing.”
his hand slid from your shoulder to your chin, tilting your face up so he could see your eyes. he studied you closely, like he was enjoying every second of how uncomfortable you looked.
“if i wanted you gone” he said calmly, “you’d disappear just as quietly. no noise. no mess. people would move on.”
he paused, watching your breathing speed up. you could tell he liked that part most.
“regto didn’t think it would happen to him either” he added lightly.
then, just as suddenly, he let go. stepped back. his expression softened, almost fond.
“relax” he smiled. “i’m not going to kill you.”
your shoulders dropped before you could stop them.
“i’m telling you this so you stay smart” he continued, brushing imaginary dust off your sleeve. “because i’d hate to lose something that still listens.”
he met your eyes one last time, smile thin but sweet.
“make the right choices” he said. “and you’ll never end up like regto.”
୨୧ toxic! tamsy - who turns soft after breaking you down, because kindness is the strongest mindset he has.
it always happened after. after the threats, after the cold words, after the way he made you feel small and scared and unsure of yourself.
you were sitting on the edge of the bed, quiet, staring at nothing, when tamsy came back into the room. his steps were lighter now. careful.
“hey..” he said gently, like he hadn’t been the one to scare you minutes ago.
you flinched when he reached out, but he didn’t get mad. instead, his face softened, eyes almost sad.
“i know” he murmured. “i pushed too far.”
he knelt in front of you, slowly, making sure you saw every movement. his hands rested on your knees, warm, grounding.
“i just get scared” he continued quietly. “the thought of losing you messes with my head.”
you didn’t answer. you couldn’t.
he smiled anyway, like that didn’t matter. “that’s okay. you don’t have to talk.”
he leaned his forehead against yours, staying there, breathing with you. his thumb traced small circles on your skin, slow and gentle, undoing the tension he caused.
“see?” he whispered. “i can be good. i’m always good to you in the end.”
he pulled you into his arms, holding you close, tight, like he was afraid you’d disappear if he let go. his grip wasn’t rough now. it was clingy. needy.
“stay with me tonight” he said softly. “just you and me. you don’t need anyone else.”
his fingers slid into your hair, combing through it carefully, like he was fixing something he broke.
“no one will love you like i do” he added gently. “no one will protect you the way i can.”
you felt tired. worn down. and he felt safe in comparison to the fear he created.
he kissed the top of your head, smiling to himself. “this is where you belong” he whispered. “with me. i’ll always keep you.”
and the way he held you made it feel less like a threat… and more like a promise you couldn’t escape.
