Efficiency email tune up: It's THAT time of year again.... It's time to renew services necessary to connect and communicate with your contacts. Whatever you business needs finding a dependable and efficient service to organize and optimize your contacts is a necessary evil. That said, I've been using Constant for like three years for newsletter distribution and overall contact organization. Sometimes it comes down to just taking one step then doing that one simple action OVER and OVER. Being in business for yourself isn't glamorous! Being in business for yourself takes hard work, self discipline, and consistency. Oftentimes, people focus on the end GOAL but don't take note of the sleepless nights, the blood, sweat and tears it took to accomplish whatever's being idolized on social media. We as women of color could benefit from taking a page out of a few other business women's books of success. Other women of other nationalities and even within our own ONLY begin to patronize and support each other AFTER a certain modicum of success has been achieved. Why is that? Why is it that others find it so easy to shamelessly support and promote one another? The old African proverb comes to mind, "If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. Challenge yourself to look for one woman you can support, promote or patronize this week! Then choose to do it again next week and the week after until it becomes second nature! My mindset for 2017 includes: 
Maximizing my potential through the use of my professional network, the discovery of all things connected to and related to personal growth and fulfillment, choosing to spend time making memories with those I care about, and finally LIVING my life as BOLDLY and authentically as I can! Choosing to take my career and by extension my life into my own hands as I continue to work towards rebranding myself is representative of a huge shift in my priorities. My career transition from local TV news into the social justice documentary filmmaking arena and into the YouTube Channel creator platform is truly a massive JUMP! I couldn't be happier to have the opportunity to explore these and other professional and personal opportunities in this upcoming year! I've done so much in 2016 in the way of laying the foundation for what's ahead. I'm just beyond grateful I've been blessed with the opportunity to live another year where I feel I'll be truly walking in my purpose!
