Unas fotitos que saqué con mi nuevo llavero, lo bueno de comprar cosas piratas es arreglarlas.
La media luna estaba muy rica, el latte demasiado dulce, pero lo disfruté.

In the mid-20th century, it was not only a place to enjoy pastries and coffee but also a venue for milongas, traditional tango dance events. Over the years, the confitería appeared in several Argentine films and became a cultural symbol, attracting both locals and tourists seeking an authentic porteño experience. Despite closing for restoration in 2016, it remained in the hearts of many as a symbol of the city’s artistic and social life.
After several years of closure, La Ideal reopened in 2022 following an extensive renovation that restored its historic charm while updating its facilities. This reopening marked an important cultural moment for Buenos Aires, celebrating over a century of tradition, elegance, and flavor.

London City Café
London City Café sits at the corner of Avenida de Mayo and Perú in Buenos Aires’ historic Monserrat neighborhood, just steps from Plaza de Mayo and the Casa Rosada.
The café resides on the ground floor of an elegant Art Nouveau style building, originally constructed around 1890 by architect Edwin Merry for the Ortíz Basualdo family and later transformed into an annex of the Gath & Chávez department store in 1910.
In 1954, the space was converted into the London City Café.
The café is famously associated with Julio Cortázar, Argentina’s renowned novelist. He penned parts of his novel Los Premios at one of the café’s tables, which is still marked with a small plaque and ashtray in his honor.
Goya Bar Histórico
